In a shocking incident, a Chennai doctor was arrested after she tried to kill her father, 82 years old in the ICU. Her father was a heart patient in the ICU.
The horrendous incident was captured in a CCTV footage.
She switched off the ventilators after ensuring that he had his thumb impression on the set of papers. The incident happened last year in September.
The 82-year-old man also had a son, who also happens to be a doctor. He has been trying to file an FIR since last September but it was done in 2016 because of negligence of the investigation in the matter.
Later, The police investigations revealed that Dr. Jayasudha Manoharan was behind this heinous crime.
Dr. Jayasudha visited her brother’s, Dr. R Jayaprakash hospital and cleverly removed the line that was delivering life-saving medicines, through the neck. When the doctors and nurses rushed to the spot, she just escaped from the room.
Dr. Jayaprakash, the victim’s son said this, “My father was just off the ventilator. His blood pressure had plummeted and we used a central line to supply drugs to maintain his blood pressure.This line should not be pulled out. Jayasudha took my father’s thumb impression, wiped the ink from his fingers and unscrewed the IV line so he did not get the lifesaving drug. There was slow but steady reverse flow of the blood. The ICU nurses caught it just on time to save him. When my father was still in hospital he told police he was threatened by his daughter.”
