In a shocking incident, A 16 year old girl was allegedly raped while returning home after attending Independence Day celebrations at her school in Kyorak village, Haryana, police said on Tuesday. The Class-12 student was stopped by an unidentified person while she was returning back home.
Then a car stopped nearby in which three youths abducted her by threatening her with knife, according to the complaint lodged with the police against Mohan, Saurabh and three unidentified accused, as per Hindustan Times reports. She was taken to a house in Tik village where she was allegedly raped by Mohan while Saurabh was standing outside, Kaithal DSP (headquarters) Tarun Kumar said. The girl screamed her lungs out, alarmed the neighbours and was rescued by villagers, police said.
A case under relevant sections of the IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act has been registered in Kaithal sadar police station against the five accused, police said. They said raids were being conducted to arrest the accused. Rest of the investigation is underway.
