“Mother” familiar word isn’t it! Yaa it is a sort of exaggeration but I guess few are not so familiar to it. It feels so good when you walk with your mom holding her hand, taking care of her son/daughter. She always tries to keep you smiling and when you look at your mom and give a smile it reflects how much you like love her. But what about a mother who’s either of her son or daughter has left her alone. She has been set out from her beautiful world to a world where when she looks around she finds herself in dark. Days back I had been to market, there I saw an old lady, wrinkled torn dress she wore. Eyes looked like never slept for day. Placing a plastic bag on head to shelter herself from the showers of the wickedness of the world.Walking barefoot begging for penny and food from one vendor to another. When received a penny she flips the coin and see what it got so much that today this circular metal buy happiness for someone. Starred the coin and I guess would be thinking “I need few more to fill up my tummy for this night too!” As she moved. She picked up a plastic bag and started picking up the tomatoes, carrots fallen all around. When picked a fruit from a vendor she hears the those words that are not meant for her.

I saw that tears in her eye. She roamed all around begging asking for food while one said, you haven’t brimmed this area today why should I pay you. She looked with a hope and that person handed over a coin of one rupee. I do remember my childhood days when I use to be stubborn for one rupee to buy that typical orange flavored drink in packed in a plastic to which we are familiar as “Pepsi”. And here this old lady collects to have a meal for night. She walks down the lane in the market like bird whose wings are cut. People starring at her, comment on her but she walks with her head placed down to hide herself from the world and then she goes and sits beside that pile of garbage from where we cross we ain’t able to breathe for a second but she stays there. Sitting there and looking up on the sky what she might be thinking? I ask you a question is she meant for this life? Don’t you ever thought why these people roam around what’s the reason behind it? Some stand at the signals, while some sit at the gates of the temple with a hope that someone will help them….
