Flash Mob is happening all around the world and mostly we see young people performing but this time its little unconventional . Group of women doing flash mob while wearing sarees in one the most popular mall Select City Walk ,Delhi .

This was organised by Devditi, an organisation which works for women empowerment and revives the trend of saree wearing now days .

When I lived in Delhi, every evening that I didn’t pick my mother’s phone she would get paranoid. She would pray to all her Gods and wish for my safety. And why wouldn’t she? Eve-teasing is common not just in Delhi but in most of India. And it remains so because more often than not, we decide to ignore and ‘let it be.’

Ever wondered why most girls don’t react to eve-teasing and choose to ignore? Because the possibility of what will follow is scarier than being eve-teased. A similar incident has occurred recently when a resident of Delhi, Jasleen Kaur, was walking on the street in Tilak Nagar and a roadside Romeo passed a lewd comment at her.

When she responded by clicking his picture and telling him that she will file a complaint, not only did he smirk, he also threatened her that if she files a complaint, he won’t let her live in peace. Around 20 other people who were standing on the signal, calmly ignored what happened. In shock, Jasleen filed the complaint in the Tilak Nagar police station and according to the Head Constable prompt action is being taken on her complaint.

When we spoke to the police we were told that they are trying to find the culprit with the bike number and picture submitted by Jasleen and are planning to take an action against him.

Here’s the incident in Jasleen’s words:

This man (misnomer) made obscene comments on me today at around 8 pm near Aggarwal, Tilak Nagar. He was on a silver…

If you come across this man, please call the police and bring it to their attention.
If such an incident happens with you or around you, please don’t ignore it or be a dumb spectator, unless we react it is not going to stop.

Dear Jasleen, you are a brave girl, stay safe.

If you are a woman aren’t you supposed to follow the rules meant for everyone?

That’s one question which I would ask with this post.

The two females in this post were eating their packed junk food. It’s prohibited to eat food in Delhi metro. But yes, these small rules can be overlooked at times.

But not in this case. Five minutes before they started eating their packed meals , their seats were occupied by two labourers who were returning from their everyday work.

The tone in which these two females shouted and abused these two guys to get up from women’s reserved seats was highly insulting as everyone around the place noticed it.

These poor fellows got up without saying a word and the ladies sat down for a comfortable gossip about the shopping that they did today, took out their McDonalds meal and started eating when a young guy pointed out, “Eating is prohibited in Delhi metro”. Their reaction to that guy’s remark was, “Mind your own business and don’t tell us the rules”. The guy was very decent in making these girls notice the rules and was highly mannered when he did that , but their reaction made one more guy, that is me, to say the same, that if they could make two guys stand up saying it’s a rule , then they must also follow the rules by not eating there.

And again their reply was, “Nobody should tell us what to do”, to which a man who was travelling with his family said the same, “Beta they are saying the right thing , if you can make people get up because of a rule , you should also not eat and follow the other rules.”

There were murmurs around in support and then I clicked their picture to which their reaction was “How dare you click a picture, it’s illegal and I will get you into police custody.” My reply, “I will accompany you to the police if you want”.

Be it a male or a female what is wrong is wrong for everyone.

Follow the rules and stay happy !! Cheers !

New Delhi, Aug 9 (ANI): Highlighting the accomplishments of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday accused the ruling BJP at the Centre of obstructing the initiatives taken by his government rather than letting them serve the people of Delhi.

Speaking at a public event in Burari, Kejriwal differentiated the pace at which the AAP and BJP works.

“Ever since the BJP lost to AAP in Delhi elections, they are out for revenge. All they can ever think and plot about is how to be a hindrance. What the AAP has accomplished in six months, no other party in Delhi has ever managed to do so. Electricity and water bills have reduced and so has corruption,” Kejriwal said.

Stating that the BJP has devoted all its energy into thwarting AAP rather than focusing on issues like women’s safety and corruption, Kejriwal said that this government has dedicated day and night in the service of the people of Delhi.

Taking a swipe at Prime Minster Narendra Modi, Kejriwal said how the anti-corruption force has been corrupted by the former’s resources.

“On 8th June, PM Modi sent his paramilitary force to take control over our anti-corruption force. In three months of our time, we were able to arrest more than 50 corrupt officers. We had struck fear into their hearts. But since the two months that Modi ji has taken over, not a single officer has been arrested,” he said.

The Delhi Chief Minister also used the occasion to mock the Centre, saying his government was working 24 hours while the BJP has been arresting an AAP MLA every month.

“The BJP’s job is to create trouble, ours is to keep working. Either do our work or let us do our work but don’t be an obstruction,” Kejriwal said. (ANI)

India’s capital city bans Uber following sexual assault. So Uber is no longer allowed to operate in New Delhi, India’s capital city, after a woman was allegedly raped by one of its drivers. In an interview with India’s Economic Times, local transport chief Satis Mathur says that the company misled customers by using vehicles with the wrong permits and has never applied for permission to operate in the city. Acommon complaint about the ride-sharing service is that it neglects safety-and-background-checks for its drivers. That appears to be the case here, since the alleged offender was working while out on bail for sexually assaulting a woman in a cab he was driving in 2011. In a statement, Uber CEO Travis Kalnick says that the company will do everything to support the victim and “bring this perpetrator to justice.”
