In a horrifying incident of sexual violence, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly brutally raped and dumped near a railway track in south east Delhi’s Pul Prahladpur area on Wednesday, Police told PTI.
The minor girl, an orphan, is admitted in AIIMS and her condition is said to be very critical. She’s battling for her life and unconscious.
The girl lives with her maternal aunt at a village near Pul Prahladpur. She went missing on 17 May, and a search operation was conducted after a complaint was filed by the relatives but she could not be found, a senior police official said.
In the wee hours of 18 May, locals spotted the girl lying unconscious near the railway track.
She was then rushed to AIIMS where doctors confirmed the sexual assault and a case was registered under relevant IPC sections and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, police said.
However, Police is yet to arrest the accused.
