
NEW DELHI: An Indian court on Tuesday issued arrest warrants against Indian cricket team skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni in a case related to charges of hurting religious sentiments of Hindus, SAMAA reported.
The court has summoned Dhoni on 16th July.
The case was registered against the Indian cricketer for allegedly “denigrating” Hindu god Vishnu and “hurting” the religious sentiments of the Hindus by posing for an advertisement in a magazine.
Reports said the complaint against Dhoni was filed by a social activist.
Indian media reported that the cricketer can get bail since the warrants are bailable.
