In a shocking and heart wrenching incident, a drunk man allegedly killed his 5-year-old son after an argument over buying candies worth Rs 2 at Saini near Allahabad.
Even after repeated refusals from the father, the boy is said to have kept asking him for money to buy candies.
Father, reportedly a raging alcoholic and he got irritated by his son’s never ending requests. So he lifted his child, threw him on the ground and crushed his chest with his feet. The boy died on the spot.
The father fled the scene after the incident. It was not clear whether he was under the influence of alcohol when he committed the crime.
The boy’s family cremated his body without informing the police.
V K Mishra, Kaushambi superintendent of police, denied knowledge of the incident. Mishra said, ‘Strict action will be taken against the father if anyone files complaint.’
