It seems that the people running Censor Boards don’t have any chill. Time and again, we’ve witnessed incidents where the Censor Board has stupefied us with their nonsensical ‘cuts’.
This time, it’s Telugu director Sri Rajan’s movie on lesbian love, ”Affair” seems to be in hot waters.
Tollywood came up with a movie ”Affair” directed by Sri Rajan, which had two actresses indulging in hugging and lip kissing. The trailer seems quite steamy.
“I got inspired by bold films which were made with different concepts by Bollywood film makers like Mahesh Bhatt and Ektha Kapoor. ‘Affair’ is being made with that inspiration.”, he told APHerald
Maybe that’s what ticked off the Censor Board. And therefore, the road to its release doesn’t seem too smooth.
But the director had some (epic?) response.
He claimed that if the Censor Board doesn’t clear it, he will release the film on Youtube.
What remains to be seen is how The Censor Board reacts to this threat and where will the movie be released – In theaters or on YouTube? ?
