Later, he took her to a deserted place and raped her.
A missing report was filed by the victim’s sister after she did not return home.
According to Supreme Court guidelines, in such serious cases police should immediately file a FIR, but when the victim went to complain she was meant to wait for around 12 hours.
As per the police, they cannot record the statement of a minor without the presence of parents and in this case, victim’s parents as well as the SDM being a Sunday was not there.
