7-Year-Old Gangraped in Delhi By 3 Men, One Arrested and Girl In Serious Condition

A 7-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by three men in Delhi’s Tigri area on Saturday evening. One accused has been arrested, reports NDTV.

Delhi Police on Sunday morning arrested one of the three men accused of gangraping a seven-year-old girl on Friday evening.

One of the suspects is reported to be a juvenile and a neighbour of the girl’s family.

The minor has been admitted to the trauma center at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

Doctors have told Times Now that the girl has undergone surgeries for her injury and is likely to stay in hospital for the next five days.

This is another case in a continuing trend of rape of minors in Delhi. A 14-year-old girl was gangraped by six men in Dichaon village area of southwest Delhi on Friday morning. The men pulled her into a vehicle while she was on her way to school, and took turns raping her.

In the past three years, five minor girls were allegedly raped in every two days, forming around 46% of the total rape cases reported in the national capital in the corresponding period.
