Rape Again!! Will this ever going to end? A 23-year-old woman was abducted by three car-borne men and gang-raped in south Delhi’s Vasant Vihar area during the early hours of Thursday in the capital. All the three accused have been arrested.
The woman was abducted around 3:15 am on Thursday when she was walking towards her home along with her friend after watching a movie, as per Hindustan Times reports.
“In her statement to the police, her friend said they were walking towards Munirka when three men pulled her friend inside their car and drove off,” told a senior police officer.
The woman’s friend noted down the number of the car, called up the police immediately and shared the registration number with them. The owner of the car was then immediately traced to Geeta Colony, where the owner and his friends were arrested by the police, according to Deccan Chronicle report.
A team of police reached Poorvi Marg, they found the girl standing there. She informed the police that the three men took turns to rape her inside the car and then dumped her.
A medical examination of the victim has confirmed rape. However, the woman is not able to provide the exact sequence of events that took place on Thursday and is also changing her version, reported Hindustan Times.
The three arrested men have been sent to judicial custody by a local court.
