A bar girl, 22 years old, was killed when two groups clashed over a trivial issue in Gurgaon on Friday. Four people, including a woman, have been arrested, said Police.
Bar girl identified as Mahi, a native of Uttar Pradesh, was hit in the arm and died of excessive bleeding after she ruptured a vein, police said. Sudeep Kumar, station house officer, DLF City Phase 2, said, “She bled profusely and was rushed to Medanta, the Medicity where she was declared brought dead at 2am.”
Mahi was part of one of the two groups that fought each other with sticks in on the Gurgaon expressway at Shankar Chowk near DLF Cyber Hub at around 1am over an old accident.
“Mahi worked as a bar girl in different clubs on MG Road. There was a blame game on over an accident that took place a few days ago,” said assistant commissioner of police Hawa Singh.
Singh also added, both sides were regulars at clubs on MG Road. The four accused, in the age group of 18-25, were unemployed.
Lined with at least 50 pubs and bars, MG Road, also known as the mall mile, is famous as Gurgaon’s trouble spot where drunken brawls and conflicts are usual.
