Badlega India
Rakshabandhan is one of the greatest and most joyous festivals celebrated in India to adore and respect the relationship of brothers and sisters. We all know that on this auspicious occasion, sisters tie a thread called “Rakhi” on the wrist of their brothers.
But something horribly went wrong when a sister got so much hurt after listening to her brother’s answer when she insisted on tying Rakhi on his wrist that she committed suicide? One has never heard of anything like that. Its unbelievable.
The unfortunate incident actually took place in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, where a girl of 12 years who was desperate to celebrate Rakshabandhan with her only brother ended her life by hanging from a fan after her brother refused to tie Rakhi.
Lalaram Prajapati, a resident of Jhansi, was blessed with five daughters and a son and here we are talking about Kavita, 12 years old and her brother Abhijeet, 15 years old.
On Rakshabandhan afternoon, Kavita insisted Abhijeet to tie Rakhi but he refused, saying that he was going to play and would tie Rakhi later on.
This hurt the girl so badly that she immediately went to her room and committed suicide by hanging from a fan.
Kavita’s elder sister Geeta told that Kavita went to a temple for worship in the morning and since she had to go for tuition in the afternoon, she wanted to tie Rakhi as soon as possible.
But when her brother denied and went out for playing, she could not tolerate the refusal and felt so bad that she didn’t want to live anymore.
When Kavita did not come out of her room for long, family members started knocking the door. After the door was not opened, they peeked from window and the scene inside was frightening; Kavita was hanging from the fan.
Incident shocked the family members to the next level; even Abhijeet was very heartbroken after the incident since he never thought that Kavita could take such a drastic step. He could only say, “I am the unluckiest brother of this world.”
Kavita’s body is sent for postmortem and police is investigating the matter.
