New Delhi: Its very shamefull to tag Shaheed Bhagat Singh as Revolutionary terrorist, explained by his nephew Abhay Singh Sandhu on Wednesday. Abhay was very sad by this controversial statement mentioned in DU’s books.
“This is a very sad precedent that even after 68 years of Independence such words are used for the revolutionaries, who gave their lives for the freedom of the nation. The Britishers, who hanged Bhagat Singh, described him as `true revolutionary` in their judgement, even they didn`t use words like terror or terrorism,” Sandhu told news agency ANI.
“Using such words for revolutionaries in an attempt to stir controversy is very unfortunate,” he added.
Bhagat singh was a freedom fighter and it is very dissapointing for every Indian that he is being stated as terrorist in Delhi University books.
Also, HRD minister Smriti Irani said “If I am to be called intolerant to ensure that Bhagat Singh is not called a terrorist, then that is the tag I will proudly wear”. She calls the incident as ‘Academy murder’.
